RAIL SIMULATION

There are many different rail simulation products available in shops or on the internet. I cover just some of these, however a full list of the many different ones I know about can be found in the information section on the right of this page.

The simulators listed below are the ones that I cover. Clicking on the name of one will take you to my pages about that particular simulator which include things such as reviews, downloads, FAQs, databases, tutorials, guides, help files and much more.

BVE Trainsim
This Japanese freeware cab view simulator has a huge British following. British developers have created plug-ins allowing systems/features such as AWS and TPWS, DRA, VIG etc.

Microsoft Train Simulator
A product by both Microsoft and Kuju Entertainment, this leading simulator offers the user both internal cab/passenger views as well as a variety of exterior views.

Rail Simulator
A new simulator by Kuju/Rail Sim Developments Ltd., it was released in October 2007 and has had a mixed response from the community. This section of the site will grow in time.

Train Simulator 2
Currently under construction, this upcoming simulator is being developed by ACES Studio - the team behind the very successful 'Flight Simulator X' game.
