BASIC TRAIN CONSTRUCTION

TRAIN SOUNDS

Here is a list of a what sounds are required and what they do in a train.

Sound Name Description Of Sound
Adjust.wav Used when you over run or under run a station/stopping point.
Air.wav Used when the brake is released.
AirHigh.wav Used when brake pressure reaches it's highest.
AirZero.wav Used when brake pressure reaches it's lowest.
Ats.wav Used when ATS is not cancelled.
AtsCnt.wav Used for the ATS continuation chime.
Brake.wav Used when applying the brake.
CpStart.wav Used when the master reservoir reaches it's lowest.
CpLoop.wav Used when the master reservoir is below it's highest.
CpEnd.wav Used when the master reservoir reaches it's highest.
Ding.wav Used when train passes over a transponder and speed limit.
DoorCls.wav Used when doors close either side.
DoorClsL.wav Used when the doors are closed on the left hand side.
DoorClsR.wav Used when the doors are closed on the right hand side.
DoorOpn.wav Used when doors open either side.
DoorOpnL.wav Used when the doors are opened on the left hand side.
DoorOpnR.wav Used when the doors are opened on the right hand side.
Eb.wav Used every minute when no controls are moved (warning alarm).
EmrBrake.wav Used when the emergency brake is applied.
Flange.wav Used when negotiating tight curves.
Klaxon0.wav Used when you blow the whistle/horn.
Klaxon1.wav Used when you blow the whistle/horn for a second sound.
Klaxon2.wav Used when you want a guard signal by the driver/another sound.
Leave.wav Used when you are clear to leave the station.
Loop.wav Used when the route is started until you end/change routes.
Motor(X).wav Used according to throttle & speed. See your Train.dat setup
Point.wav Used when negotiating points and/or switches.
Rub.wav Used when the train is is almost stopped (squealing brakes).
Run0.wav Used for jointed rails & wooden sleepers.
Run1.wav Used for jointed rail & concrete sleepers/high speed jointed rail.
Run2.wav Used for continuous welded rail.
Run3.wav Used for continuously welded rail & tunnel and/or bridge.
Run4.wav Used for jointed rail & wooden sleepers with a tunnel and/or bridge.
Run5.wav Used for continuously welded rail with passing train sound.
Run6.wav Used for continuously welded rail on a steel bridge.
Run7.wav Used for jointed rail with passing train sound.
SpringL.wav Used when negotiating a left hand curve in a station.
SpringR.wav Used when negotiating a right hand curve in a station.
ToAtc.wav Used when switching to ATC train control.
ToAts.wav Used when switching from ATC train control.

PANEL AND PICTURES

Here is a list of what images are required and what they do in a train.

Handle.bmp Used for animation. Consists of the handles in different positions.
Panel.bmp Used for the actual panel of your train.
PrsBack.bmp Used for the pressure meter's background.
PrsOn.bmp Used for the pressure meter.
Train.bmp Used as an identification of train, usually a photograph.
VlcBack.bmp Used for the background of the speedometer.
VlcOn.bmp Used for the point that holds the speedo's needle.

DATA AND CONFIGURATION

Here is a list of what data and configuration files are required and what they do in a train.

Panel.cfg Used for the configuration of the panel.
Train.dat Used for the physics and features of the train.

TEXT FILES

Here is a list of what text files are required and what they do in a train.

File Name Description Of File
ReadMe.txt Used to show the credits.
Train.txt Used to show information about the train.
DrivInstruct.txt Used to show any specific driving tips/requirements (optional).
