Where can I get BVE?
You can obtain BVE from Mackoy's site only! Any other site
you find it on should be reported immediately. The official
site is located at
http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp.
What does 'BVE'
stand for?
'BVE' stands for 'Boso View Express' however the program has
been officially renamed 'BVE Trainsim'.
How much does BVE
cost?
BVE and all it's additions are totally free! Any you find
for sale should be reported immediately.
What tools can I
get?
You can get a variety of tools to make
routes/structures/trains etc. These are listed in the table
below.
What is a 'CSV'
file?
A .csv file is a 'Comma Separated Variable' file that
usually opens straight into Microsoft Excel. It is what
route authors now use to write their routes and some objects
with.
What is an 'RW'
file?
A .rw file is a file that usually opens straight into
Microsoft Notepad or Wordpad. It is what route authors used
to write their routes with.
What is a 'ZIP'
file?
'Zipping' is a way to compress files for a smaller size (for
downloading off of the internet for example).
What is an 'EXE'
file?
An 'EXE' is a program containing compressed files at a
smaller size (for downloading for example).
What is a 'RAR'
file?
A 'RAR' contains compressed files for a smaller size (for
downloading off of the internet for example).
Where does
everything go when I've downloaded it?
Objects: C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Object
Routes: C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route
Sounds: C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Sound
Trains: C:\Program Files\BVE\Train
