ROUTE DOWNLOADS

On this page you will find a number of downloadable routes. These routes are by default installed to "C:\Program Files\BVE" so they work with v2 of BVE Trainsim. If you do not use v2 then your computer may be using "C:\Program Files\mackoy\BVE4" as the storage area for your add-ons. If this is the case then you can change the destination folder when you load the installers.

Remember that all routes and trains must be in either one or the other of the previously mentioned destination folders. By default, BVE version 4's loading box will go to the latter, so if you are using the former destination folder then all you need to do is to navigate to it by using the 'up a level' button which is located next to the drop-down box. Once you reach 'Program Files' you should double click on 'BVE' then 'Route' and choose the route and diagram you wish to drive.

Compatible with BVE 2. This older logo denotes that the download is only compatible with Version 2.
Compatible with BVE 4. This newer logo denotes that the download is only compatible with Version 4.

This route is a fictional route, running a small shuttle service in the beautiful, English countryside. The Class 150/1 shuttle service runs from the town of Longston to the town of Carmeton. If you wish to use AWS on this route, you must make sure you read the 'InstallAWS.txt' file. This contains the instructions for implementing the system to this route.

Some screenshots of the Charing Cross - Gillingham route. Charing Cross - Gillingham Depot
This long semi-fictional London commuter route is nowadays dominated by 'Networkers' and 'Electrostars', so this route has been set back in the BR era. Passing trains include CEPs, CIGs & EPBs in Blue & Grey, Network South East and 'Jaffa Cake' liveries. The route starts in Central London and runs via Lewisham and Woolwich into the Kent countryside and Medway Towns. Upon arrival at Gillingham you shunt into the depot. Includes 8-car Class 421 'CIG' summer & winter runs and a Class 37 freight run.

This is a pre-BETA release which means that you may encounter a few minor errors or inaccuracies. This route also requires 'Southern Electric v2' from Train Sim Central.

A screenshot of the Chesham Shuttle route. Chesham Shuttle
This section of the Metropolitan line is normally run by a shuttle service from Chalfont & Latimer, connecting with the Metropolitan mainline services. The route is mostly in a cutting and used to form the mainline from Central London, but has always been part of a single track formation throughout. Chesham still retains it's country charm despite the growth in housing around, what is now known as, 'Metroland'.

A screenshot of the Island Line route. Island Line
This section of the Isle of Wight's only mainline railway runs from Ryde Pier Head, on a wooden structure some way off the shore. Here, trains connect with the foot ferry to Portsmouth. We run down the pier into Ryde Esplanade. Here, we connect with the town centre. We run through the tunnel to Ryde St John's Road, where we can see the depot.

A screenshot of the Jubilee line (Extension) route. Jubilee line (Extension) [NEW!]
This section of the London Underground Jubilee line is modelled on the extension, that was first authorised in 1990 and finally opening in late 1999. As a result of the extension of the line from Green Park to Stratford (as far as North Greenwich in this add-on), the branch to Charing Cross was closed. The extension of the Jubilee line is also the only part of the London Underground network to feature 'platform edge doors' (PEDs).

This section of the 'Great Northern Electrics' line to Welwyn includes the ex-Northern line section from Moorgate to Drayton Park. The route is in tunnel right up until Drayton Park. We begin on the same platform as the Moorgate crash, when a Northern Line driver entered Moorgate station at a high speed without applying the brakes.

This section of the Ashford/Hastings to London express line is the last section of two track right up until London Bridge station. As you leave Tonbridge station, the line to Redhill branches off to the left and we continue straight on towards London. We pass the stabling point and continue through Sevenoaks tunnel, the station and into the station of Orpington.

A screenshot of the Waterloo & City route. Waterloo & City Line
This section of tube railway was the second of it's kind, following the 'City & South London Railway', now London Underground's 'Northern Line'. Still with some NSE branding from before the LT takeover, we leave Bank and shoot under the Thames into Waterloo Station. Our passengers then alight here, while we go on into Waterloo Depot.

This route is a fictional route, complete with it's own set of fictional trains! We leave from a depot and travel alongside a graffiti-covered sub station and head underground. From New Street, we head back above ground for the final leg of our journey into Dartham station. Note: On the over ground section, we do pass over some very sharp point work!
