I have uploaded the classic BVE2 Jubilee line Extension (and
accompanying 1996ts train) to the BVE downloads section.
With the construction of the updated BVE4 version still
ongoing, it had been requested a number of times on the
forums and thanks to it's author, David Coleman, I am
delighted to be able to make it available to you all. To
download, check out the
BVE routes
page, followed by the
trains
page for the 1996ts.

I have created a RSS Feed from the BBC News website. The
feed brings up news stories where the subject is trains and
railways, so you no longer need to search for them. A link
to the feed itself can be found on the
front page, along with an 'about
feeds' link.

First update of the year.... in fact the first update for
over three months! Today's update consists of some shots of
units taken mostly at West Hampstead Thameslink last
October, and some shots of the new TOC liveries from around
London yesterday afternoon. You never know - I might one day
get around to uploading my shots from the Great Cockcrow
Railway and five days spent in the Leeds and Carlisle areas
last August (2007)!!!!

26th July 2007
A while since the last update. Was offered a job with
Trafficlink yesterday, so in future that will be
included in my "I've been busy lately" excuse. Anyway, I've
updated the poll on the interact page.
A couple of things I've been meaning to do but have not got
around to include: reviewing the
BVE databases
(removing broken links and adding version compatibility
icons) and fixing the music player on the
interact page. If you'd like to
suggest some tracks for it then do feel free to
drop me a line and I'll see what I
can do. As always, if you want to get in touch for whatever
reason then feel free - I'm usually about. Oh, and Zane has
created
a support forum to accompany BVE Railnetwork. But
wait... thought of something else I need to do! That is to
update the review for Making Tracks'
Great Eastern product, covering the recently released
Braintree extension. You may wonder why I'm telling you all
this rather than writing it down. Well, the thing is I have
been writing myself notes but then end up losing them so
totally forget. Oops!
10th July 2007
Llewelyn has released some converted route files for the
Charing Cross to Gillingham route, therefore making it
compatible with BVE4. You can download these files by

The website has now officially opened! The site still
contains everything that the old Virtual Rail and Picture
Rail websites contained so this change really affects very
little. Virtual Rail is now the
rail
simulation section and Picture Rail is now the
rail
photography section. Each of these can be accessed via
the links above. What with the site just going live
there are bound to be a few issues, although hopefully minor
ones. If you encounter any issues no matter how small you
think they are then an e-mail is
much appreciated. |
